Remove Immediately
A tick bite is not always without consequences. Since the tick carries bacteria, one can become ill from a tick bite. Lyme disease is the most well-known of these. It's important to remove the tick completely right after the bite. This can be done using a tick tweezer, tick tool, or tick spoon. It's important not to treat the area with alcohol before removing the tick.
Symptoms
A tick bite is not painful. This also means that you won't notice it. The red spot that appears at the bite doesn't get larger than two centimeters and disappears after two weeks. A recognizable symptom of a tick bite is a red spot that forms around the site of the bite. This red spot is also known as erythema migrans. Noticeable symptoms include experiencing headaches, developing a fever, a stiff neck, or muscle pain. If these initial symptoms are ignored, a tick bite can lead to Lyme disease, the number one tick disease.
